We called about having an…
We called about having an estimate done. A couple of days later, they came to the house. They were very knowledgeable about their product and how the process would go. We decided to get the panels. They worked to get us the best loan possible. The installation only took about three days. Then the city came out to inspect 2 days later. After that, AEP installed the new meter a couple of days after that. It was easy to switch to the new energy company. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to go solar! Very professional and friendly company. They made the whole process easy.

Solergy has earned my highest recommendation! Going solar is a much bigger and more important decision than most people think. You may be paying for your system for as long as many mortgages in order to even come close to the “free” claims made by many solar companies. That said, if you are concerned about energy cost inflation (which is just heating up), power outages (TX has a very fragile grid), or just want to do your part for the planet, it can be a very smart move. Unfortunately, doing it right takes more research than most people want to put into it. It’s vital to build relationships with organizations to help fill in the gaps in your knowledge base. A reputable, local solar installer is a critical member of this team. Wherever you are in your solar journey, whether initially exploring options or already have a system that you are wanting to optimize, you will be glad you included Solergy in your planning.
Like all hi-growth sectors, residential solar has its share of fly-by night companies who engage in nefarious practices ranging from exaggerated claims to outright scams. Throw in free government money and the sector is ripe for rip-offs. My experience with a different solar installer was somewhere in between. We experienced delays stretching almost a full year, countless unfulfilled promises, incompetence, excuses, and the blame game--even within the company! Solergy was recommended to me by manufactures they carry as well as local electrical utility workers familiar with solar.
In seeking to get our system operating properly (installed by different installer) we consulted with Farhang, the owner and Daniel, a solar technician who came out to our home. The first thing we noticed was that they were both great listeners. They took the time to truly understand our needs and how our current system was not meeting them. Overall communication was excellent. They got back to us when they say they would and showed up when they said they would. In our case, it has always been just a couple of days.
What also impressed us was that Solergy is family-owned and part of the community they serve. Farhang, is an electrical engineer who stays on top of technological advancements in the solar industry. Consequently, he is able to meet specific needs based on his knowledge of various companies’ offerings. He will find answers to any questions he cannot answer. Solergy also has access to the lowest financing (that I have heard of) and local credits and rebates to minimize cost.
Given what I know now, I wished I would have gone with Solergy from the start. Given the situation we are in, we did the next best thing. Farhang informed us of the system he would have recommended to us, provided options to optimize the system we have, and offered to provide warranty work to correct any future problems we have with our system. We feel this is going above & beyond—it is a testament to their integrity!

Great experience with the whole…
Great experience with the whole team. It was all done within around 2 weeks, with plenty of communication. They're so professional that any little issue that came up was dealt with fast. They know the city and AEP officials they work with, so people get there fast. Talk to Solergy before you make your decision.

Mark the sales guy was…
Mark the sales guy was a nightmare to deal with that never quite gave me all the information i needed, i had to piece it all together on my own. I also had to be the person initiating everything. He said it would take 2 days tops and it took >2 weeks! I am glad this experience is over with. On a brighter note, the solar panels seem to be working well and i have not had an electricity bill since installing them in June 2021.
