Solar & Renewable Power Systems LLC Overview
Solar & Renewable Power Systems LLC, also known as (SRPS), is headquartered in Jackson, Tennessee. The mid-sized company is a division of Paradoxe Corporation, which has been in the energy sector since 1992. SRPS was formed in 2008 when the parent company diversified into the solar energy industry. They provide the design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems.
With an employee count of 16, the company has projected revenues of approximately $2.5 million. Their customers are direct residential and commercial property owners, and they also provide support to other solar energy installers.
Solar Panels and Services offered by SRPS
Specific Solar Panels offered
SRPS supplies Solarworld Sunmodule XL solar panels, which offer maximum reliability and energy density. They have a 72-cell format, which provides 30% greater rated power when compared to the common 60-cell modules, thereby reducing costs. The Sunmodule SW350XL Mono panel has a 17.54% module efficiency, a rated power of 340W, and a rated power per cell at 4.4W. The manufacturer’s output warranty term is 25 years linear and comes with a materials warranty term of 20 years.
Although their efficiency and rated power wattage are not the best in the market, these panels are of reasonably good quality and are well-priced. SRPS offers a wide array of panels that range in options of wattage, amps, frame sizes, and weight, so they can provide a set of panels best suited to the customer’s needs.
Specific Types of Solar
Residential Solar System: SRPS offers grid-tied rooftop and ground mount systems for residential installations. They custom design your concept to ensure the provision of optimum solar production. With a professional team of solar experts, master electricians, and project managers, the company promises to deliver a successful project to its customers.
Commercial and Agricultural Installations: The company’s services extend not just to commercial properties but to agricultural land as well, where solar energy can be used to provide electricity for domestic use and production purposes. Being an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solar company, they will handle each aspect of the project, from design, procurement, and construction to commissioning and handing over the project.
Installation Costs and Processes
It was impossible to clearly indicate the costs associated with solar energy system installation from SRPS. The company does not have any reviews online, and its website does not indicate its pricing structure. However, they have an application on their website that calculates your estimated solar energy system installation costs. It does this when you input your monthly utility cost and your zip code. We tried it, and it works.
As for financing options, we could not obtain information suggesting that SRPS has in-house financing. Should this be a service not provided by the company, several dedicated solar energy system installation financiers are dotted around the country.
The products SRPS uses are reasonably priced, leading us to believe that their services will be generally well-priced too. The lack of reviews on the actual cost of their service makes this belief based purely on assumption, though their solar cost calculator application will give you a general idea of the cost, which is based on the national average cost of installation, without incentives.
SRPS is legitimate enough, despite its lack of reviews. Although it is not BBB-accredited, it has the following:
- Licensed in the state of Tennessee.
- NABCEP-certified installers.
- Master Electrician licenses in multiple states.
- Solarworld Platinum Certified Installer.
The company is transparent with its contact details, and it has a website where you can browse through its portfolio with precise locations of where the pictured installations are.
Although the company does not have online reviews and a small online presence, we do not doubt its legitimacy.
SRPS offers Operations and Maintenance (O&M) agreements to protect a customer’s installation after the sale and completion of the project. They will do annual inspections to ensure the system performs optimally and that you receive maximum energy output. They even offer maintenance to customers who already have a system installed by other companies.
Without reviews, it was not possible to gauge their responsiveness to customer maintenance issues. We think, however, that if the company enters into an operations and maintenance agreement with you, they have to honor their obligation, so they will provide maintenance. What is also not clear, though, is whether there is an extra cost to this O & M agreement.
The SolarEmpower View
SRPS may not have a spectacular online presence, and it certainly has no customer reviews that we could find, but it remains a good company in our view. With its EPC solar company credentials, they have a footprint extending beyond Tennessee borders, as evidenced by its portfolio. Agreeing to tie themselves up to a contract for continued maintenance is great customer service and would be greater if it comes at no cost to the customer, a fact we could not ascertain.
Despite not being able to independently verify their service experience from previous customer reviews, we believe you will not be disappointed by SRPS.
