Harvest Solar Energy Overview:

Harvest Solar Energy is a small team of fewer than 10 employees and it has been around since 2002. Since then, the team hasn’t grown much, but they are all experts in the solar industry, just like founder John Miggins. The company is based in Tulsa, OK and they serve clients across five states in the US. There is no data available regarding what their revenue is. During the past two decades, they’ve managed to grow their service area to include quite a substantial area.

They have commercial and residential clients and they also collaborate with builders, architects, and homeowners in the Southwest. The brand offers its clients a holistic approach to clean energy and is using both solar and wind energy to provide comfortable solutions to sustain a modern lifestyle while enjoying savings on utilities. They are transparent about the fact that they offer energy-saving solutions that also make a positive impact on the environment. There are limited reviews on the brand and none of these truly touch on their affordability.

Harvest Solar Energy services and features:

Harvest Solar Energy products:

Harvest Solar Energy offers a holistic approach to more environmentally friendly energy solutions. They offer clients a range of solar products and installations. They specify only a few items and the leading brand names they stock below, but they also mention that they have many more partnerships with manufacturers and have a much wider range to offer.

Solar Panels: The items you’ll be able to purchase are from the most reputable manufacturers globally, such as Panasonic, QCell, and more.

Inverters: They offer clients products from premium manufacturers like Sol-Ark.

Batteries: Quality batteries play a key role in the efficiency of a solar system, to they offer batteries from the most trusted brands, like Edison. They also claim to be the top provider of battery backup systems in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas.

Back-Up Power Systems: Here clients can shop for Sol-Ark, Generac, and Kohler.

Harvest Solar Energy services:

Free Consultations: Harvest Solar Energy offers a free consultation to discuss the custom needs of every client.

Installation: The team claim to have over 20 years of experience in taking care of installations.

Harvest Solar Energy Costs:

Harvest Solar Energy doesn’t make any mention of how competitive they are on their prices. What they do highlight is the savings clients can enjoy from making this transition. They also share a lot of information on tax rebates and make it very easy for clients to apply for a loan from LightStream to help them settle the bill. Our team could find one review though that mentioned that their prices were reasonable.

Harvest Solar Energy Legitimacy:

Harvest Solar Energy LLC is a legitimate company, but this is mostly based on its long history of good-standing, rather than because of accreditation.

  • The company is not BBB-rated.
  • The brand is also not NABCEP certified.
  • The president of Harvest Solar Energy LLC, John Miggins, has over 20 years of experience in the solar industry. He is also a widely reputed role player and has been a speaker at the Texas Solar Energy Society, the Sierra Club, the University of Houston, and the Oklahoma State University frequently. Miggins is also often invited to organize events and architectural committee meetings to share his expertise in the field.
  • Miggins is not the only expert in solar they have on board. Several of their prominent employees have vast experience, and this is the foundation of their reputation as a service provider that maintains superiority in their products and how to best meet the needs of their clients.
  • Judging from the minimal reviews available, their service is good. We found one review, though, which presented dissatisfaction with their after-sales services and customer care. There were also a few reviewers that commented on miscommunication but also that it was resolved.

Harvest Solar Energy Maintenance:

The Harvest Solar Website doesn’t make any mention of maintenance contracts. What we have to assume from these reviews is that they don’t offer a maintenance service, but they do help clients with any concerns even more than a year after installation. What they’ve charged for the service they’ve offered is not stated though.

Harvest Solar Energy Power view:

Harvest Solar Energy doesn’t tick the conventional boxes of a solar provider. They don’t have certification and they don’t appear to be a member of the known associations. What does count in their favor is their long service history and the absence of complaints against them. Coupled with the fact that the wider solar industry calls on their expertise to address role players during gatherings. While what they offer is good, trustworthy, and affordable, there are elements on which they can approve, like obtaining certification. Thus, we give them an 8/10.

FAQ

Is Harvest Solar Energy worth it?

For a company that works in over five states and has been in business for so long, there aren’t many reviews in their favor, but they’re also aren’t many complaints. Thus, we have to say they are worth it.

Is Harvest Solar Energy good to work for?

The fact that they still have less than 10 employees after being in business for 20 years can mean that this is a good brand to work for and that the team is very efficient or that staff retention is so low, that they don’t grow to be over 10. As there is no proof of the latter, we assume the first option is the case and they are good to work for.

Is Harvest Solar Energy trustworthy?

Yes, they are. Even though they don’t have the certification many others have, they have been in business for a long time and don’t have bad reviews showing that they are not.

Is Harvest Solar Energy recommended?

Yes, most of the reviews available recommend them.
