Wanex Electrical Services, LLC Overview
Founded in 1987 and incorporated in 1993, Wanex Electrical Services has been providing Delaware with electrical and lighting services for over 30 years. In 2002, they established Blue Skies Solar and Wind as a subsidiary to handle the growing green energy revolution. Since then, they’ve completed 96 solar projects, totalling over 30Mw, alongside 14 windmills.
Operating out of New Castle County, Delaware, and offering its services across Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, Wanex/Blue Skies has gathered a respectable $5 million in revenue. Their solar energy journey started with residential properties but has since expanded to cover commercial and even utility-scale projects. Despite this impressive legacy, they’ve not maintained much of an online presence, and readily available reviews are few and far between.

Specific Solar Panels offered
Wanex/Blue Skies’ company motto is “installing tomorrow’s technologies today.” Although they don’t mention any specific brands that might fall under this umbrella, they have a stated commitment to innovative solutions and the highest quality in service and products. Their limited reviews do mention that they work extensively with SunPower products.
Specific Types of Solar Offered
Wanex/Blue Skies cover a wide variety of green energy projects. The Blue Skies name started with smaller roof-mounted systems for residential properties, but has scaled up considerably over the years, covering megawatt-sized installations for retailers such as Amazon and Ikea. Their work also includes ground-mounted systems for school districts and county governments.
In addition to the solar and wind systems offered by their Blue Skies label, Wanex Electrical Services also provide many energy solutions and electrical installations. These include power distribution such as transformers and emergency generators, lighting installations, and even fibre optics, to name a few.

Maintenance
Wanex/Blue Skies does not include any information about warranties or maintenance services on their website.
Of the few testimonies we could find for Wanex Electrical Services, one has some strong words for them. The complaint mentions two major issues: the first is that protection against rodent damage was not included and only diagnosed by the SunPower technician later, putting the customer at a significant out-of-pocket charge. The second issue is that the solar panels weren’t spread across the property’s garage roof – despite the customer’s insistence – and the weight has since caused part of the property to sink.
Whilst we cannot confirm the veracity of this review, we also have very few others to compare it to – the only other available is a single three-star review on google. Neither of these presents a good picture of Wanex/Blue Skies’ customer service.
The SolarEmpower View
Cost: 5/10 | Legitimacy: 9/10 |
Quality: 7/10 | Customer Service: 5/10 |
Wanex Electrical Services presents itself as having a substantial legacy when it comes to electrical services. They also have many impressive certifications and licenses across multiple states, suggesting an expansive reach and service. However, despite this apparent wealth of experience and the number of projects under their belt, the lack of customer testimonies makes it difficult to get an accurate picture of Wanex/Blue Skies Solar and Wind. As such, we cannot in good conscience recommend them for your solar energy needs. 7/10 for their theoretical service.
