Installation costs and process:

For most customers, the final decision around choosing solar equipment depends on the cost. The price of a SunnyMac system and installation services will vary depending on the electricity needs of the client.

Typically, SunnyMac’s pricing would be between $2.32 and $3.10 per watt, which is very competitive compared to their competitors.

This means that, for a 6 kW system, the gross cost before any tax credits or other incentives would range from $13,920 to $18,600. But with the 26 percent federal tax credit for solar, which every American is eligible for, a 6 kW solar system would cost between $10,301 to $13,764. Additionally, there are plenty of state-level solar incentives that can further reduce these costs.

With SunnyMac Solar, customers have three payment options to choose from: cash, lease or loan, and the company offers financing with $0 down payments on loans and leases.

SunnyMac Solar has received very positive reviews based on their cost vs quality ratings, with many clients commending the company for their competitive pricing.

  1. SunnyMac Solar has been licensed to operate by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
  2. The company is accredited and certified by Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Tesla PowerWall.
  3. SunnyMac Solar is a member of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).
  4. The company’s contact details are publicly available. These include their physical address, email, phone number and operating hours.
  5. The company’s leadership team is listed on their social media platforms. And potential clients communicate directly with the company’s executives for consultations and installations.

This highlights why our experts take the view that SunnyMac Solar is a legitimate company.

SunnyMac customers benefit from a 25-year warranty that covers the entire solar system, which includes the panels, microinverters, racking and power production.

Based on customer reviews, the maintenance and customer services are very responsive, supportive and professional.

If it wouldn’t have taken…
If it wouldn't have taken them 16 hours to install everything or have been drinking on the job, I would have given them a five star. Very disappointed with this company for their lack off customer service in dealing with this the way they did. Have not heard a word from them about the issue, but when it came time for them to get their money, they took it. I would not and will not recommend this company to any one I know, and I will let everyone know not to use this company.

Update#1 Got the system finally running…
Got the system finally running April 1st. I am happy with the production although it is a small sample size for now. Make sure you are on top of them otherwise they will drag their feet. Timara got the system to the finish line so a thank you to her. Now I have to confirm that production is good and that they applied for the NJ Credit. We shall see.

System was installed in November 2022, I was very excited to finally be on solar. Inspections were done and they did not pass back in December 2022. Sunnymac has now been dragging their feet and I have yet to have a working system. They are however receiving their money now. Extremely unhappy, I would try another company if I were you one that doesn't drag their feet.

Had an initial meeting with…
Had an initial meeting with a sales rep and went over the steps for approval, installation, etc. for about 45 minutes and was told there should be no reason we don’t qualify for Solar. Set up a follow up meeting for the next week on my one day off, only heard from the sales rep after the meeting was supposed to begin that he had to cancel. After the meeting was rescheduled and I altered my day off schedule again, the sales rep did not show to the meeting and only contacted me hours later after several attempts on my end to tell me we didn’t qualify and could not give a further explanation. Do not fall for the same scam and promises we were told.

Furthermore, I was told to contact customer service to alleviate the issue. I have called multiple times and left messages and have received no answer or call back.
