Specific Solar Panels Offered
Smart Wave Solar works with notable brands to provide installations that have the industry’s leading technology and products, such as Enphase, Solana, Sunpower, and Silfab Solar.
Enphase 1Q7AS micro-inverters deliver optimal performance, with 366VA peak power and 349VA continuous power, as a factory-integrated element of Sunpower A-Series Solar Modules.
Silfab Solar panels have great efficiency ratings, with both the Elite and Prime products having efficiencies above 20%, making them Tier 1 quality products. They have an excellent warranty and low product defect rates. Silfab Solar panels cost between $2.45 and $3.09/W, which translates to $14,700 to $18,540 for a 6kW system.
In terms of efficiency and cost per kW, their products are of the best quality in the market.
Specific Types of Solar
Residential Solar System Installations: Offering grid-tied and hybrid solar systems, Smart Wave Solar will use trending technology and equipment to design and install your custom-made array. They handle the entire process from permitting to flipping the switch and provide a reliable solar energy solution for your residential property. Some grid-tied solar systems stop when there is a power outage; Smart Wave Solar offers an emergency power supply with their solar systems for no added cost.
Battery backup: Owing to various factors like extreme weather, extended power outages have become more common. The backup battery supply provided by Smart Wave is great for unforeseen emergencies where you can have a power supply. They have a promotion on offer whereby if you refer four households to them, who then actually get a solar bid, they will give you a free backup battery.
Installation Costs and Processes
Costs
Reviews stated that they had comparably excellent prices for the quality of products they offer. One customer stated that their price per kilowatt capacity was by far the lowest, though we did not get an indication of how many companies they obtained quotes from.
They have great financing options with very low rates, such that qualifying customers get solar energy for $0 down and pay as little as $39 per month.
The company states that its prices are great, its products even greater, and that they do not cut corners. They also make the claim that 1 in every three customers is referred by a friend, which would be a great indicator of their great cost of doing business.
Legitimacy
Smart Wave Solar is a legitimate company. They have the following to their name:
- License AEC9410 from Utah state authorities.
- Certified as PV installers by the NABCEP.
- A+ rated by BBB.
- REC-certified solar installer.
The company is transparent with its contact details and business address. They have mostly good reviews from past customers, further testament to their being a trustworthy company. The occasional bad review we came across seemed to be drowned by the good ones. Their website has a contact form for both the Utah and Colorado offices.
Maintenance
The products the company offers have a manufacturer’s warranty, varying in period and depending on the product. Smart Wave Solar offers a 25-year workmanship and system production warranty. Customers stated that they are responsive, honest, and clear communicators. Only one review seemed to disagree with the over 80 other good reviews on their responsiveness to customer issues.
100% of their services are offered in-house, eliminating the use of third-party contractors when the customer has a problem.
It would certainly appear as if they are a good company to engage with. They have excellent referral promotions, and this could perhaps explain why many customers come through friends or previous satisfied clients.
The SolarEmpower View
Smart Wave Solar is a good company in our view. They have impressive reviews from satisfied customers and offer great promotions that entice people to seek out their services. They do have the occasional bad review from a disgruntled customer, but most of their past clients only had positive things to say about them.
Their incentive of an emergency power supply in a power outage at no additional cost is commendable customer service. In terms of the cost of their service, they seem reasonable enough, though the products they work with are not the cheapest on the market. Theirs are Tier 1 quality, which tends to make the cost of solar a bit more. To counter this, Smart Wave Solar has great financing options with no cash down and low monthly installments.
We believe that should you be in Utah or Colorado and need solar energy, maybe you can call Smart Wave Solar.
