Pingo Solar Overview:

Pingo Solar is a small solar company that specializes in providing solar system and battery storage solutions to residential and commercial buildings. The company is headquartered in Jurupa Valley, California. It was founded in 2013 by a group of engineers, an economist, and a trade professional with the common goal of building an effective and affordable solar service company. Today, the company has grown into a $1.7 million a year corporation.

Pingo Solar builds its operational model as a “solar company online” where all initial contacts and documentation are handled online. This model allows potential customers to book services online or over the phone. Their primary customers are owners of residential properties. Pingo Solar Services and Specific Features:

Pingo Solar Services:

Solar power system Installation: This is Pingo Solar’s primary service. The company’s business structure allows customers to be able to book installation services online. All necessary documentation is handled online and submitted to the customer for final approval. When this is done, the customer is assigned a specific “project manager” who would oversee the whole of the installation process. Their solar installation service, from contract signing to the completion of the installation project, ideally, doesn’t take more than 45 days.

Post Installation Maintenance Services: This is another major service offered by Pingo Solar. After the completion of installation projects, they often recommend periodic post-installation maintenance to their customers. Potential customers can also require the service for their already installed solar systems. Their post-installation service features monthly monitoring reports, system status checks, and utility rate savings. All these are geared towards maintaining the optimal working of the system. Their team of maintenance technicians reviews monthly solar production and makes recommendations to customers to address any under-production issues.

Ground-mount solar system installation:  Ground-mount solar systems are much different from conventional solar systems with panels installed on rooftops. Ground-mount solar systems are ideal for buildings without enough roof space to accommodate the required solar panels. They can be mounted on racks, on the ground, or atop poles in the yard. Pingo Solar begins this project by having their team of experts collects and examine some vital details about the features of the property and the solar power intended to be generated. Then, they make a recommendation as to whether the ground-mount solar option is most suitable for the property and which mounting option is most ideal.

This review is regarding a…
This review is regarding a ground mount solar project estimate not roof top .I received an estimate from Pingo solar that was lower price than other estimates and for a much larger ground mounted solar system than that I received from a couple of other solar companies in my area. from Pingo’s representative Dmitry. The proposal was done using my latest Edison bill ,google Satelite photos of my home and all contact was by email and text. After questioning the lower price and larger system estimate I received from Pingo solar I was told by Dmitry he had re checked his calculations all was correct with his proposal and that Pingo solar is usually 20% lower than their competitors and that is in their advertising and that if I would like to move forward he should need to come to my home . I made an appointment with Dmitry for 11:00 am 9/ 7/2021 at 10:30 am on 9/7 I called Dmitry to confirm he was on his way and was informed he was no longer with Pingo. And was assured his colleagues would be keeping his appointment.
I then called the company to confirm(no answer) but received a text message from I believe the owner Ben Cho within minutes of leaving my message on the number given to me by Dmitry . We agreed to reschedule for Friday 9/17/2021 10:00 am . Then this happens and is what left me thinking Pingo Solar was a company others should be aware of . Hayden from Pingo calls me on 9/8/2021, I called him back 9/9/2021 and was told by Hayden that Dmitry really did not know what he was doing and that my system should have been priced at twice the price I was quoted by Dmitry. I said that I had received a couple of other quotes that were approximately 20% more expensive than Pingo price and smaller in size and and that I had questioned Dmitry about his estimate. and that I was looking forward to someone from Pingo coming out on 9/17 to confirm the price and system size I would need . Then was then told by Hayden that It would be “better if we parted friends “and he canceled my appointment with Pingo for 9/17/2021 and hung up .All of this happened over approximately a period of a week maybe two. I feel like I dodged a Bullet in not doing business with Pingo Solar and that this was a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience.
