Residential Solar: They provide a quick and affordable roof mounted solar system. They handle the entire process for customers from start to finish, including the paperwork necessary to obtain permits. Some of the brands they have on offer include Canadian Solar panels and Enphase inverters which are designed specifically for residential use.
Ground Mount: Ground mount systems are typically used on properties that do not have enough roof space, or for large commercial purposes. Midwest Solar Power provide commercially designed systems or specifically designed to suit the conditions present at your site. Systems manufactured by Silfab are engineered with the North American market in mind, and these are part of those offered by Midwest Solar Power.
Commercial: Specializing in grid tied solar systems, they provide a great way to decrease the operational costs of a business which helps companies promote their clean energy goals.
For over a decade, Midwest Solar Power has been servicing the area of Southern Wisconsin, from houses, to business premises, churches, and municipalities.
Midwest Solar Power Costs
Although they are a relatively small company, Midwest Solar Power appear to provide competitive pricing compared to their bigger rivals. One review stated that the customer obtained 5 different quotes and chose Midwest Solar Power for being the best priced. From the information available to us, this company does not seem to offer financing options, probably owing to their small size. They do, however, appear to compensate for this by offering great service experience to customers, as reported by reviewers. The lack of financing is somewhat a negative point for them though, as these options appear to be an industry standard across the country.
Midwest Solar Power Legitimacy
Midwest Solar Power are a legitimately licensed company in the state of Wisconsin. In addition, they have the following certifications:
- they are a member of the American Solar Energy Society;
- they hold a Master Electrician License;
- they also have a MREA Certification;
- Finally, they are certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
On their website is their email and physical address, telephone number and social media links. They have been, however, booked fully in the past, for example for the 2022 installation season, so you will not be able to contact them directly from the website. Their size certainly prevents them from taking on a lot of business. Despite the inability to directly contact them on the website, you can use the telephone number, send them an email, or visit them at their offices.
Midwest Solar Power Maintenance
Their products come with the 25 year manufacturer’s warranty, and they provide a 5 year warranty on parts and labor. We did not come across any reviews that complained about their inability to respond to customer issues, though the small workforce does put a doubt in the mind as to the ability to have a quick turnaround time in emergencies. The greater scope of their work appears to be in new installations. Their business is insured, a factor that is some consolation in the circumstances.

Despite being well priced and obviously knowledgeable in the subject of solar electric systems and their installation, the particularly small size of Midwest Solar Power is of some concern. You may not be able to hire the company to do your installation for you this year because they are fully committed. Should you, however, be one of the lucky ones whose installation is on their books, the reviews suggest you will receive value for your money, both in product and labor, as well as a great service.
