GR Solar Solutions Review 2024 - A Local Choice?

I'm in San Diego, and this team came in from Texas and knocked out my rooftop solar installation in a day. Very professional, installed everything neat and workmanlike.

I completely regret having solar panels installed by Texas Solar Solutions LLC. We were not able to CHOOSE which company to use. From the start I felt something was not as it had seemed. The drawings that Mr. Lockhart provided had our electric panel behind the building when it's located in the front. The original plan called for the installation to take roughly three days not including electric company involvement. First day started off decent until the two people who run the electrical boxes show up later than the first group. The male and female commence to installing the Boxes for solar panels and we inform them to please come in and see what's behind where they are drilling. They work through out the day and we notice more and more holes in our metal building that are showing daylight through them. At one point they hit an electrical conduit, passing alongside it they all leave for the day and on day 2 we notice the one installing the boxes are now moving said boxes farther down my metal wall that has spray foam insulation. We have now called Mr. Lockhart to find out why this is happening. The explanation is that we requested it to be moved. That was not the case at all. So now we sit with daylight showing passing through about 20 holes.
They finally finish installing panels with another crew that were very conscious of our situation and did their best to help get everything finished without a hitch. This took another week or so then it's time for the boxes where it's all connected. The electric company comes out disconnects and they connect. Then they turn the solar panels on and we think YES after all that has happened YES we have solar. WRONG that was not the PTO. They leave my unit on and our electric company now is charging us for the electric coming and and going out because THEY HAVE TO SWAP OUT THE METER. I suppose I was suppose to know this information.. So the electric company comes out and informs me know that this is incorrect. So I call Mr. Lockhart while electric company is on the phone and explains the process to Mr. Lockhart. Our electric bill without solar would have been $200 or so it was $444.
TSS had the ability to take care of the situation and chose to cut off communication with us completely.

Was recommended by Lex and the crew who did my install was stellar. The owner James was very knowledgeable, he answered every question and was patient with me. Most solar companies I’ve spoke to seemed confused with my questions. The install was quick, easy, and clean! The boys were respectful and helpful!

The people at Texas Solar Solutions are top notch. They are out to provide a service but they aren't aggressive with their approach. Jumping to solar is not a small decision and they are patient with you while you decide to make the switch. Seems theres a lot of solar companies out there who just want to sell you their product, the guys at Texas Solar actually care about the customer first!
