Eagle Solar & Light Services and Specifics

Eagle Solar & Light Products

Eagle handles the installation of solar panels and Advanced LED lighting retrofitting for commercial, non-profit, and residential properties, including Grid-Tied and Hybrid systems. They are a certified REC Solar Professional Installer – one of the few in the southeast of the US – and offer an extended warranty for customers who use REC panels. They’re also certified to install Tesla Powerwall battery systems, which integrate seamlessly with solar power.

Eagle handles the installation process from start to finish – after a free consultation, a representative will assess the property and help you come to an agreement. They’ll even communicate with your utility company and local authorities to manage the necessary permits and building permissions.

They primarily operate out of Alabama, with their services also available in Mississippi, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Eagle Solar & Light Costs

Eagle’s customers report that the company’s services are cost-effective and see significant returns on investment. However, much of this comes from the savings from solar power itself, rather than the installations being particularly cheap. With that said, you will still get your money’s worth from a well-trained team and a high-quality customer experience.

If cost is an issue, then Eagle has a few ways to help you finance the installation. Their services qualify for The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) in all serviceable states. In Georgia you can finance your installation through a Solar Energy Procurement Agreement (SEPA), allowing you to pay back the initial investment over time through your energy savings. North Carolina customers are eligible for a Solar Rebate – up to 60 cents per watt for residential and 50 cents per watt for commercial properties – which Eagle’s representatives will help you apply for.

Eagle Solar & Light Legitimacy

Eagle is a legitimate solar panel provider, with many accreditations:

  • They are licensed with the Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board, and have been a BBB accredited business since 2017.
  • They are recognised and have been highly recommended by the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association since December 2017.
  • The president and lead PV designer, Joe Bennett, is one of five people in the state of Alabama with a NABCEP Board-Certified PV Installation Professional certification.
  • They are a member of the Amicus Solar Cooperative, and are certified clean energy installers with both Generac and REC.

Eagle Solar & Light Maintenance

Eagle’s warranty mirrors any and all of the manufacturers’, including maintenance and service as required. In addition, they will work with the manufacturers to resolve any technical issues, including repair and replacement of parts, on behalf of the customer. Whilst there are a couple of complaints about their response times, the vast majority of reviewers describe their service as immediate, knowledgeable, and professional.

Conclusions

Eagle Solar and Light offer a variety of solar panel installations and services for residential and commercial properties. Although not cheap by any means, their customers speak highly of their quality service and professional expertise. Combine this with the significant savings on utility bills and the many ways to help finance the installations, and you will see fantastic value for money. Their accreditations speak for themselves.

Would give zero if…
Would give zero if I could.

Contacted ESL approximately 3 weeks ago and provided documents needed for them to provide a quote on a residential system. Sent a follow up email at the end of week 2 checking in - received - no reply. Called on 3rd week after submitting and was told that they're inundated with Commercial clients and they aren't accepting residential customers. Told their Business Development Dir Scott Alexander they should remove Residential services from their Web site - complete waste of time. Believe the reviews regarding no response and no reply - they're real.
